What an amazing and wonderful trip it's been!!!
Our first gig was for a grand opening at an Italian restaurant in South Jersey
called La Vigna. That was on December 4, 1989 and we went on to be the house band
there. After a 3 year exclusive run at La Vigna we began working for Apollo Artists, a
major Philadelphia entertainment agency.
At Apollo we worked their circuit of nightclubs, restaurants
and lounges throughout Philadelphia, Atlantic City and the
Jersey Shore over the next several years. During those years
we performed with many different combinations of musicians
and vocalists, so many that I don't remember all their names,
but I do remember and appreciate how much they all
contributed to making EZ Street one of the areas top Acts.
In late 2003 I moved the Act to Florida where our success
has continued. After auditioning several female vocalists I
was fortunate to find Rebecca Ramirez. Our first Florida
gig was at Sunsets (Englewood Beach) in October of 2003.
By November we were working regularly at Farlow's and
becoming well established here in SW Florida.
March 2005, brough us back to working a mix of duo and
trio gigs when Mary Nikias and Janine Elise Scott joined
the band. With Mary and Janine we developed the format for
the EZ Street Band that you hear today. Mary and I were
joined by Laura Bailas when Janine moved on to pursue her
solo Act. Soon after, in November 2006 Lori Chartier came on
board to round out the vocal team.
EZ Street Band "2010" will continue to evolve and deliver
YOUR Music. We've recently began performing as a quartet.
The number 4 spot on the team is being shared by our newest
collaborators including Ron"Dual Sax" Driscoll,
Percussionist Mike Carden or Guitarist Steven Ferrara,
and look for Janine who we still enjoy on select dates.
My heartfelt thanks to all of the singers and musicians who have
been a part of us over the years and to Mary, Laura and Lori who
give so much on each and every performance.
And most importantly, to You ....our "EZ Street Friends",
there are no words to express how you have touched our lives
and made it all possible.
